Dear friends,
We just wanted to share a message we received from Sergei Ashenbrener in Kazakhstan. This is the missionary whose house needed major repair, and over the last few months, we’ve been collecting for this project. We’ve been keeping in touch with him, and out of the money we were able to raise, we sent him $1000 last week to get started on the leaking roof. He sent us a voice message in Russian, that we wish you all could hear, but most of you won’t understand it. So here is what he said..
“I listened to your voice message, and was sitting here, with the phone on charger. My wife comes into the room and asks why I’m sitting alone in the dark. And I reply, I’m listening to the answers to our prayers. I don’t even have the word to thank you all enough, for partaking in this need.
When we decided to move to this village for ministry, we understood that we needed to do this. We had this peace in our hearts, and of course we prayed and taught our kids to pray as well. And now, as I held this money, I said to my kids, this is an answer to prayer. God has answered us! And they were definitely happy and excited. And we said, soon we will have new windows, good windows, warm windows, the windows won’t be leaking outside air, the windows will open easily. We’ll have a beautiful new roof, and we won’t have any more leaks! We said, we’ll update these old rooms!
Praise God that He made everything happen so wonderfully. And a great big thank you to you guys, for plugging in to help, and were able to spread the word. Praise God! Let God return blessings to you and all the people who donated for this need! We’re so happy, just happy beyond words! For us this is a huge amount of money! I don’t even know where we’d be able to make this kind of money, it’s such a big amount. It’s just unreal! But as it’s written, “…The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” (Luke 18:27) Again thank you very much! And praise God that He loves us so much, and that He’s so wonderful, mighty, and omnipotent! Praise God! O, Praise God!”
