Washer For Widow and Orphans

Update on the widow and her five orphan kids in Moldova we’ve been helping. She sent us this letter.

“Greetings Edward,
I would like to thank you again for the support and help that you have given my family. You help me very much, thank you. Its very uncomfortable for me to ask you, but in confusion I don’t know what else to do. And I don’t have anyone to ask for help. Today my washing machine broke down, but I have a pile of clothes. I don’t even have money for the repair. We just repaired it a few months ago, and here it breaks down again. I need to get my five kids ready, because school starts soon. I pray every day to God. It is very difficult for me, please don’t leave us, without your help we won’t make it through. Again sorry, but I just don’t know what to do.”

After receiving this letter, we contacted pastor Andrey in Moldova to get details on the situation. He told us the washer has been breaking a lot lately, and the family has been fixing it numerous times. This time, the cost to fix it is more than half the price of a good-working used washing machine. So we decided to go with a good-working used washing machine.

And here it is delivered. In the picture you see the widow on the right and pastor Andey’s wife on the left.
